Just when you think this WNBA season couldn’t have been more bizarre, boom, there is a surprise. During their latest encounter, the Seattle Storm (12-8) lost 83-93 against the Connecticut Sun (3-16).
This win broke a ten-game losing streak for the Sun. They outscored the Storm 27-9 in the final quarter to seal the deal. Can the Storm recover from their most horrible loss this season thus far? Here is the Same Game Parlay for the rematch.
WNBA Same Game Parlay Pick #1- Skylar Diggins O 15.5 Points
Diggins scored 23 in the last game against the Sun. She had a decent 8/19 shooting night but ended up on the losing side despite another strong performance. Before the game, she had scored 13 or fewer in two straight games.
Overall, she is averaging a team-leading 18.5 points per game, putting up 18 or more in nine of the last 12 games. Thus, there is a high chance she scores at least 16 in this rematch.
WNBA Same Game Parlay Pick #2- Nneka Ogwumike O 15.5 Points
Nneka Ogwumike is averaging a strong 17 PPG. But she has been inconsistent throughout the season. She put up 12 points on a sub-par 5/15 shooting in the last game.
This performance came after a 15-point production. Overall, the Storm forward has scored fewer than 16 in three of the last three games. But I expect her to bounce back in the rematch and score at least 16.
WNBA Same Game Parlay Pick #3- Erica Wheeler O 1.5 three-pointers
Wheeler has enhanced the Storm’s scoring front and has been more effective as a starter. The guard is tallying 11.5 PPG and can be prone to inconsistencies like Ogwumike. At the same time, she has provided insurance from the three-point line.
The veteran guard has converted career-high 1.7 triples per game on a highly impressive 40.4% clip. She has nailed 2 or more three-pointers in five of the last six games. I believe she will do so again.
These set picks appear to be some of the lowest risks. The Wheeler inclusion takes the SGP from +120 to +375; thus, it is worth including.
