Allegations surface that Mandy Teefey, Selena Gomez’s mom, turned a startup office into her personal ‘drug den’

Selena Gomez’s mom, Mandy Teefey, has been accused of shocking behavior at the Wondermind mental health startup she co-founded with her famous daughter.

In an exposé published by the Cut on Wednesday, anonymous Wondermind employees alleged that Teefey, 49, would sometimes get “intoxicated” inside her “drug den” office.

Another unnamed staffer claimed that they once witnessed the “Calm Down” singer’s mom “snorting” what they believe was a “line of Ritalin” at the startup’s New York City headquarters.

Additional former Wondermind employees, meanwhile, alleged that a “rotation of nurses” would “regularly” visit the office to provide Gomez’s mom with “vitamin IV drips” that dispensed Benadryl — something Teefey reportedly needed to “deal with allergies” and the “aftermath of severe COVID and double pneumonia” that she contracted in 2021.

“Employees say that after the injections, Teefey spoke slowly and seemed drowsy,” the outlet alleged. “Occasionally, Teefey’s younger daughter came to the office for sleepovers, which worried employees.”

In addition to Selena, 33, Teefey welcomed a second daughter, Gracie, in 2013 with husband Brian Teefey.

At least one former Wondermind staffer alleged that the “Only Murders in the Building” star was aware that her mom was suffering from unspecified issues.

“I will say this with the utmost certainty — no doubt, hesitation in my mind,” they told the Cut. “Selena knew her mother was not well enough to be running that company.”

However, Teefey has denied the allegations made against her in the outlet’s shocking exposé.

She refuted the claim that she snorted stimulants in the startup’s headquarters, and insisted that such an incident “absolutely” never occurred.

“I started Wondermind because I wanted to help people with mental illness,” Gomez’s mom told Us Weekly in a statement.

“It’s unfortunate that a few disgruntled employees with an ax to grind can spread lies about me and distort the truth,” she added. “Even more disappointing that the media is willing to amplify their lies.”

The Post has reached out to Gomez’s rep for comment.

“We have taken an unexpected and innovative chance on the way people can understand and participate in a creative foundation to show anyone that a shift is possible,” she continued at the time. “Far from medical or preachy, we’ve struck a balance between education, media and self-reflection that truly inspires growth.”

Gomez, who is engaged to record producer Benny Blanco, discussed her decision to get directly involved in a mental health business in a Wondermind newsletter published in May 2022.

“One of the people that I’ve looked up to my whole life is Princess Diana and, this sounds silly, but what would come out of her was so honest and real, and that’s all I want this to be,” the Disney Channel alum said.

“A real, honest, safe, comfortable place — something people can turn to,” she continued. “I hope nothing more than for people to feel what I feel when I think about what we’re doing and when I think about other people and talk to people on our expert committee and people that have the same goal and vision that we do.”

Wondermind, however, was forced to lay off a reported 60% of its staff this May because of financial issues, per Forbes.

“In the coming days we will be transitioning into a new chapter for Wondermind,” a company spokesperson told the business magazine earlier this year.
