Meghan Markle says that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet mimic their father Prince Harry’s British accent with a pronunciation of one word.

Though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are raising their son Prince Archie, 6, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 4, in California, Meghan revealed in season 2 of With Love, Meghan on Netflix that her kids say the word “zebra” with a pronunciation that sounds more British than American.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, shared the tidbit in the latest season of her lifestyle series, which premiered on Aug. 26, recounting a story she has shared previously.

While appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show in March, Meghan shared the anecdote when host Drew Barrymore asked, “What’s your favorite thing that you see in your kids that you go, ” ‘Oh, that’s their dad?’ “

“Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent. So they’ll say, ‘Ze-bra,’ and what else do they say? They have these little moments where it comes out. They have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him, and I think it’s adorable,” Meghan said with a smile. “Zebra is a good one.”

Meghan also revealed on With Love, Meghan that she and Harry pronounce “herb” differently, with her saying it with a silent “h” at the beginning.

“My husband always laughs when I say ‘herbs’ — he’s like, ‘Herbs.’ He’s like, ‘You’re so American — ‘Erbs, ‘erbs.’ “

She added that their children use the American pronunciation of cooking terms because “Papa’s not cooking as much.”

After stepping back from their royal roles in the U.K. in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan moved to her home state of California in the U.S. when Prince Archie was a baby.

They eventually settled in the Santa Barbara enclave of Montecito, and their family expanded when Princess Lilibet was born in 2021.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about how Montecito has become protective of her family.

“Once you know us, I think you want us to have the same normalcy as parents and for our children as they do, despite however unique our situation,” she said.

For Meghan, normal looks like nights out with Prince Harry and their pals.

“We go to a lot of dinners, and not just in people’s homes or private rooms; we just go into the restaurant,” she said. “I really love that we can just have fun.”

The Duchess of Sussex seems to be having fun in season 2 of With Love, Meghan on Netflix, which premiered in eight episodes on Aug. 26. Like season one of the series, which debuted on March 4, Meghan draws on her years of experience cooking, creating and entertaining as she tackles recipes and crafts with friends new and old.

She is joined by Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, Jay Shetty, Radhi Devlukia, José Andrés, Clare Smyth, David Chang and Samin Nosrat, as well as friends Jamie Kern Lima, Heather Dorak and Daniel Martin, in the new season, now streaming on Netflix.

The new chapter of With Love comes two weeks after it was announced that Prince Harry and Meghan’s creative partnership with Netflix has been extended into a multi-year, first-look deal for film and television projects.
