CHICAGO, Ill. — Another All-Star Game is heading to the Windy City.
The WNBA announced on Thursday that Chicago has been chosen to host the 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, the second time the city has hosted the league’s midseason event. The announcement comes after the 2027 MLB All-Star Game was picked to be held at Wrigley Field.
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said the league is excited to be coming back to Chicago.
“Together with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the game’s brightest stars, engaging WNBA fans around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of basketball’s most iconic cities,” said Engelbert.
The Sky are excited for the league to return, too.
“We can’t wait to build on the success of the previous All-Star game and celebrate the explosive growth of the league by showcasing the WNBA’s biggest stars on a world-class stage,” said Chicago Sky CEO and President Adam Fox.
Besides the game, there will be activities across the city for fans to enjoy.
The 3-Point Contest and Kia WNBA Skills Challenge will take place on Friday, July 24, at the Chicago Sky’s home, Wintrust Arena.
WNBA Live, which is said to be an interactive fan fest with player appearances, performances, and cultural celebrations, will be at McCormick Place.
The WNBA will also host youth outreach events around Chicago and at the Sky’s new practice facility in Bedford Park.
The WNBA said ticket information and a complete schedule will be announced in the next few months. Tickets will go on sale in 2026.
The 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, July 25 at the United Center.
