Jimmy Kimmel is heading back to Brookyln.
The comedian is taking his ABC show Jimmy Kimmel Live! back to New York later this month for a week of shows. Guests will include his late-night peer Stephen Colbert and the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host promises that the pair “have a lot to talk about”.
The show will be broadcast from Brooklyn from September 29 through October 3 – the seventh time that he has made the trip.
The five shows will tape in front of a live studio audience from the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House.
Talking of Colbert, Kimmel, who returned last night after taking the summer off, said that the cancelation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was the “number one thing people asked me about this summer”
“CBS – all of a sudden, out of the blue claimed The Late Show was losing $40M a year. Then, miraculously got FCC approval to sell their company. Which is what they wanted,” he said.
Kimmel pointed out that this “wasn’t enough for El Presidemente” because Trump soon posted that Kimmel would be “next to go”.
“Which is alarming – because I don’t know if you know this, Jimmy Kimmel… is me nd I wasn’t the only Jimmy, either,” he added as Fallon was also in the crosshairs of the President.
“Oh, you delicate chubby little teacup. Did we hurt your feelings? You want us to be cancelled because we make jokes about you? I thought you were against cancel culture. I thought that was like their whole thing. When did you become so woke?,” he joked.
