Bruce Springsteen is sharing what his sister told him after she saw his biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere for the first time.

PEOPLE has an exclusive look at a behind-the-scenes featurette from the movie as it prepares for its home entertainment release on Dec. 23. In the featurette, Springsteen, 76, recalls watching the movie with one of sisters for the first time. The legendary rock musician has two younger sisters: Virginia, who is portrayed in the movie as a child by child actress Arabella Olivia Clark, and Pamela, a photographer who shot the cover of his 1992 album Lucky Town.

“My sister, who’s a year younger than me, she held my hand during the whole screening,’ ” Bruce says in the clip. “The first thing she said to me when the credits came up was: ‘Isn’t it wonderful we have this representation of our family and our family life and our family struggles on film?’ It really is.’ ”
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere follows the rock star, as portrayed by Jeremy Allen White, during the creation of his 1982 album Nebraska, which was partially inspired by a difficult upbringing in New Jersey. The digital release of the movie will include a special behind-the-scenes documentary on the film’s production that features commentary from cast and crew, including stars White, 34, and Jeremy Strong, as well as from Springsteen himself.

The “Born to Run” singer previously mentioned his sister’s comments during a Q&A at the Telluride Film Festival, as Variety reported back on Aug. 31.

“I got to watch the film with my one-year-younger sister who is just a little blonde girl on the film, but it was actually a little brown, short-haired girl. But she sat there with me and we watched the film and she held onto my hand, and at the end of it, she turns to me and says, ‘Isn’t it wonderful we have this?’ ”
