Michael Bublé has had a busy 2025 in Vancouver, and he recently gave back to the community by paying a surprise visit to a charity to support those in need.

The 15-time Juno Award winner volunteered with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB), working with staff to distribute Senior’s Program Packs to clients.
According to the GVFB, it was an “unforgettable Christmas moment” at its Vancouver location once clients recognized the music superstar who was helping out that day.

“Our goal is always to ensure that every person who walks through our doors feels respected, welcomed, and supported,” said David Long, CEO of Greater Vancouver Food Bank, in a release.
“Moments like this, where our clients feel seen and celebrated, reinforce why community matters so much in the work we do. Michael, showing up in such a genuine way, created an experience our clients will remember long after the holidays.”
Long and Bublé shared laughs and chatted with clients as they gave out the Senior’s Program Packs at the recently opened permanent home for the GVFB.

“I’ve been lucky enough to stand on some pretty big stages, but the moments that matter most are the ones where we show up for each other,” shared Bublé in a statement. “The Greater Vancouver Food Bank reminds us that community is about dignity, compassion, and making sure no one has to face hard times alone.
“It’s about neighbours helping neighbours, making sure everyone feels cared for and supported when life gets tough.”

The GVFB assists over 16,000 individuals and families every month, all without recurring government funding. It saw over 800,000 visits last year between direct distribution and through more than 160 agency partners.
In the 2025 impact report, it reported that it distributed over five million pounds of healthy food to its clients through the GVFB locations, and over four million pounds of food to its community agency partners, and the need is increasing each year.

The five-time Grammy winner is also hosting a virtual food drive for the GVFB, inviting everyone to “help provide dignified access to food for individuals and families across Metro Vancouver.”
Bublé has been spending lots of time near his hometown of Burnaby this year, including hosting this year’s Juno Awards at Rogers Arena.

He also spent time in Whistler, which he called one of the “most beautiful places on Earth,” and departed from Vancouver on a trip to Alaska.
The BC Entertainment Hall of Fame member even teamed up with Eugene Levy to show off Vancouver in a hit travel TV series, The Reluctant Traveler.
