The Prince and Princess of Wales represented the royal family at the Royal Albert Hall this evening.
his evening, Kate Middleton and Prince William are attending the Royal Variety Performance on behalf of the royal family. It is just the Prince and Princess of Wales’s sixth time attending; they made their debut at the event in 2014.
For the evening, Kate chose an emerald velvet gown that appears to be from Talbot Runhof. She accessorized with the Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings, which Queen Elizabeth wore throughout her reign. (Kate wore them for the first time at Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa’s royal wedding in 2023.) The earrings, created by Cartier and bequeathed to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother by her friend Dame Margaret Greville, feature an art deco design. The Princess also carried a sparkling Jenny Packham clutch, and wore velvet pumps that matched her gown.

Kate chose not to wear a necklace as to highlight the earrings.

The 2025 Royal Variety Performance will be hosted by Jason Manford; it will feature performances from Jessie J, Laufey, and Paddington The Musical. Plus, the West End and Paris casts of Les Misérables will perform to celebrate the show’s 40th anniversary. The Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to meet with all the performers after the show. Back in 2014, for example, the then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with One Direction backstage.
