BOISE, Idaho — Country music star Jelly Roll made an unexpected stop at Boise State men’s basketball practice Tuesday ahead of his concert with Post Malone at Albertsons Stadium.
The basketball team documented the visit on Instagram, showing the Grammy-nominated artist interacting with players and coaches during their practice session.
The Broncos presented Jelly Roll with team gear and Nike shoes as part of the visit. In return, the artist extended an invitation to the entire team to attend Tuesday night’s show and offered them backstage access.
The concert, part of Post Malone’s “The BIG ASS Stadium Tour,” is expected to draw thousands of fans to the Boise State campus. Boise police are urging concertgoers to plan ahead and follow safety guidelines as thousands prepare to attend Tuesday night’s concert featuring Post Malone and Jelly Roll at Albertsons Stadium.
This marks another instance of Jelly Roll connecting with college basketball teams during his tour stops. The artist previously visited with Kentucky’s basketball and volleyball teams ahead of a November concert in Lexington.
The show represents one of the largest concerts to be held at Albertsons Stadium, which typically serves as the home venue for the Boise State football team.
