Still rocking out to an extended jam of Ramrod from his classic 1980 album The River, Springsteen walked through the crowd while playing his guitar to find her.

Springsteen danced face-to-face across from his mother, who appeared upbeat and sprightly despite the loud volume and the packed crowd.

Springsteen, 66, is known to have a close relationship with his mother even though he had strained ties with his father as he grew up in New Jersey.

The Boss, known for his tales of working-class life in America, is legendary for his energy in concerts which often run for hours without a letup in his enthusiasm.

He has three children with wife of 25 years Patti – singer/songwriter Evan, 25, horse rider Jessica, 24, and fireman Sam, 22.
