Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is used to making headlines for her physicality and defense on the basketball court, but now the LSU alum is taking on the modeling world. The WNBA standout is set to become the first pro athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the statuesque athlete is giving fans a sneak peek of her as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
Reese shared two posts to Instagram announcing she’ll be joining the likes of supermodels Gisele Bündchen and Kendall Jenner, who have previously donned the iconic angel wings. In a post composed of a series of behind-the-scenes photos from a photo shoot, Reese stuns in black lingerie and white angel wings, accessorized by a pair of sky-high heels.
Reese captions the photo series, “Stepping into a dream: From Angel to a Victoria Secret ANGEL. I’m finally getting my wings 🪽 I’ll be walking the Victoria’s Secret 2025 runway show for the first time, and it feels like destiny. ✨ Wings on, heels ready…Catch me on the runway💗”
She also teased her Victoria’s Secret debut with a cheeky video that gives fans a glimpse of Reese’s modeling debut.
Reese’s video quickly went viral, with fans and celebrities quick to comment on the basketball star’s latest endeavor.
LSU star gymnast Livvy Dunne wrote, “Oh yes,” and model Brooks Nader added, “YESS.”
“The perfect crossover episode,” wrote another fan, echoing the sentiments of so many of Reese’s supporters.
Angel Reese Signs On as a Juicy Couture Ambassador
Reese has had a busy offseason. The 23-year-old beauty announced this week she’s signed on to become a global ambassador for Juicy Couture. The fashionable athlete also signed on to become a co-designer of the brand’s new apparel line, Angel Couture, and will become the face of the brand’s fragrance Viva La Juicy.
Reese, like Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, joined the WNBA in 2024. One of the most recognizable players in the league, Reese joins Clark as part of a wave of WNBA stars who have crossed over into mainstream pop culture icon status.
Like their male counterparts in the NBA, WNBA stars like Reese and Clark are taking full advantage of the league’s increased popularity, signing brand deals, appearing in commercials, and blazing trails formerly closed to female basketball players.
Reese’s appearance as a Victoria’s Secret Angel is another reminder of the versatility of female athletes on and off the court.
