THE Voice’s Michael Bublé might have gone a bit too far in his strategy to win over a contestant on the show, as even his fellow coaches admitted they were weirded out.
The awkward moment occurred during Monday night’s blind auditions, where the very first performance of the episode earned multiple chair turns.
Country artist Cori Kennedy from Minnesota took the stage to perform her rendition of Why Not Me by The Judds to kick off the show.
She quickly won over Michael and Reba McEntire, who expressed interest in the aspiring star by pressing their buttons.
Michael and the other coaches, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg, have regularly complained that Reba is their toughest competition in winning over any country singers to join their teams.
So, the Haven’t Met You Yet singer went in this time with a plan of attack to sway Cori away from Reba and onto his side.
During his pitch, Michael lifted his pant leg to show off his customized socks with Reba’s face on them.
“I wore these today for you. These are Reba McEntire socks, baby!” the songwriter announced, as laughter filled the room.
He then gave a cheeky warning to Niall about another wardrobe choice he made upon stepping into the studio.
“Yo, Niall. You should see the underwear I’m wearing in case I have to battle – no, I’m kidding,” Michael laughed
Niall looked at his pal, concerned, before replying, “No, I’m good, thank you.”
Despite Michael’s efforts, Cori picked Reba as her coach, disappointing the two-time The Voice winner.

Michael later shared that “blocking” Reba would most likely be the only way to steal a country artist away from her.

He again flaunted his footwear at the camera and made a wisecrack about the underwear he teased Niall about during his pitch.
“By the way, the Niall Horan underwear I’m wearing are way too tight,” Michael said with a straight face.
Seconds later, he and Niall laughed about the exchange, with the One Direction alum saying, “Michael, let me see them underwear,” eliciting laughter from the Grammy Award winner and the live audience.
The Voice Season 27 Coaches
The Voice has gone through many coaches in its various seasons. Some stay on for a while, while others only stay for one season. Here is who will be coaching Season 27 in 2025.
Adam Levine – Season 1 to 16, 27
John Legend – 16 to 22, 24 to 25, 27
Kelsea Ballerini – 15, Comeback Stage, 20, 27
Michael Buble – 26 and 27
“I can’t move, though, because now – I’m in a bit of a position here,” Michael joked to the camera.
The bit continued with Niall then saying in an interview with a disgusted look on his face that he found Michael’s comment “weird.”
Last week, during the Season 28 premiere, Michael got caught in a heated exchange with a contestant while giving him feedback on his performance, which earned just a one-chair turn from Reba.
The competitor, Peyton Kyle, played with Michael’s silly behavior and tried to have fun with the Feeling Good singer.
“Peyton, you sounded great. I don’t know what’s going on with me today,” Michael confessed.
“That’s okay. You watch,” Peyton replied, causing the room to erupt with cheers.
“Respectfully, respectfully,” he added.
However, Michael didn’t appear to be amused by Peyton’s response.
“Peyton, let’s be careful with each other’s hearts right now, okay?” the Canadian singer snapped.
“Because my heart is tender, and let me tell you, you and I could end up together. So, let’s say nice things to each other.”
This is Michael’s third season as a coach on The Voice after nabbing a victory in his two previous seasons.
He won first with his team member Sofronio Vasquez in December 2024 and with Adam David in May 2025.
