POLL: Should Meghan Markle fly to the UK with Prince Harry next week?

Prince Harry is set to travel to the UK next week, with his visit having now sparked speculation over whether Meghan Markle will join him. The 44-year-old has not travelled back to the UK since September 2022 – and has not joined her husband on any recent visits.

Although the WellChild Awards – which Harry is known to attend each year – took place during their 2022 visit, the couple didn’t attend that year as it was held on the same day that the late Queen Elizabeth II died. As reports of the upcoming visit emerged, speculation grew over whether Harry would pay a visit to any of his family members – which then led to reports that he will make time to see King Charles.

Prince Harry is returning to the UK next month to attend the WellChild Awards

In the second series of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, the former working royal appeared to say that her last visit to the UK left her feeling “not well” as their two children remained in the US during the trip.

Her comment about being away fom Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, now aged six and four, left people wondering if it was about the visit in 2022 as she said that she was away from them for “three weeks”. At the time of the visit in 2022, Archie and Lilibet were aged just three and one.

Speaking of Meghan’s comment, royal commentator Duncan Larcombe spoke of Meghan’s difficulty at being away from Archie and Lilibet.

He said: “Meghan clearly hates being apart from her children and when Harry has come to the UK, Meghan hasn’t come with him and has been blamed for snubbing Britain as a result.”

While a meeting between Harry and his father has not been officially confirmed, a US source told The Mirror that there is “now a determination on both sides to make this happen”.

The same source told The Mirror: “For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach.

“Prince Harry’s team and the Palace have opened a line of communication, and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September.”
