Alexis Wilkins made headlines recently when she opened up in a Fox News interview about her claim that music execs told her to remove the American Flag from her social media.
“I was told to take an American Flag out of my Instagram bio, or that I had to support certain things or do certain things in order to get booked on tours, in order to get signed to a label,” Wilkins told Fox News Digital. “There are things that you ultimately have to give up, and I wasn’t willing to bend the knee to that.”
Wilkins claimed she was also told to be careful about which veteran organizations she supported because she could be seen as “partisan.
“The industry and some figureheads in the industry were just saying that me having an American Flag in my bio was going to be seen as partisan,” she said. “It was things that were fundamentally American and things that I wasn’t willing to compromise on.”
If Wilkins’ name already sounded familiar, it might be from her career in country music. The 26-year-old is working on things there, but she also has a very famous political tie. According to multiple reports, she is the girlfriend of current FBI Director Kash Patel.
Taste of Country reported the two have been dating since 2023. The site said they first met at a ReAwaken America event. And, for the most part per the outlet, the romance was off-the-radar until Wilkins stood behind Patel when he was sworn-in as FBI Director in February.
The site said she has also filed a $5 million defamation case against podcaster Kyle Seraphin, who she claims accused her of being an Israeli spy and a “honeypot” manipulating Patel.
