Michael Bublé Sets the Record Straight: ‘I’m Not Quitting Music,’ Despite Headlines.cc

Michael Bublé may not be quitting music after all, despite reports that his 10th album would be his last.

“This is definitely not true,” a representative for Bublé told Newsweek on Sunday.

Reports had swirled Saturday that the singer would end his career after an interview with The Daily Mail. “This is my last interview. I’m retiring from the business. I’ve made the perfect record and now I can leave at the very top,” the singer told the newspaper.

Bublé also noted he’s now making music he enjoys. “Now I’m just singing the music I love,” he said. “Maybe when you let go, maybe that’s when it comes back to you. Like love.”

Bublé had paused his music career in 2016 when son Noah, now 5, was diagnosed with liver cancer. Bublé and wife Luisana Lopilato confirmed Noah’s illness in a Facebook statement on November 4, 2016. The pair took time off from their careers to be with their son as he underwent treatment. “We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing,” the statement read.

In a conversation with Today Australia, Bublé spoke of countless trips to the hospital and the toll it took on his life. “It sucked and it still sucks because what we went through was THE worst possible thing that you could hear as a parent and maybe as a human being,” Buble said. “I much rather would’ve it been me. I wished, many times I wished it had been.”

Bublé made forts for son Noah out of bed sheets when they visited the hospital, which Bublé called the “fun hotel” for son, Noah, he told the Mail.

Since the diagnosis, Bublé’s life is different.” But my whole being [has] changed. My perception of life,” he told Today Australia. “I don’t know if I can even get through this conversation without crying.”

Noah is now in remission. Lopilato spoke of her son’s recovery at a press conference in Argentina in April 2017. “Thank God, my son is well,” she said. “When things like those that happened to us occur, your take on life changes. It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today.”

Bublé has released two singles from his upcoming album, due November 16, “Love You Anymore” and “When I Fall In Love.”
