Michael Bublé remains undefeated as a coach on The Voice, but the outcome of this season doesn’t really matter.

“Those people out there, every one of them is special to me.” Bublé tells Entertainment Weekly during a set visit to the show, as he interacts with the audience during commercial breaks. “They took their valuable time to come and spend an afternoon with us, and I love that I can make it special for them.”

For fans, attending a taping can be a significant time commitment, involving early check-ins, long stretches of waiting, and plenty of patience. And for Bublé, their energy doesn’t go unnoticed. “I think I’ve been given a blessing and a gift,” he says. “And the gift is being able to connect with other souls and to spread that light.”

As for his relationship with the hopeful artists on Team Bublé, the coach’s mindset has remained the same since day one. “Being empathetic and being spiritually connected was even more important than trying to find a winner,” Bublé previously told EW ahead of his first season on the hit series.

A few years later, and he has two wins under his belt. But despite his status as the reigning champ, Bublé reveals he isn’t confident the season 28 winner is on his team.

“Each one of us have multiple people on our team who literally could do it,” Bublé says during a junket conversation with his fellow coaches Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, and Snoop Dogg.

But they all know the value of winning. “This is a huge chance to break through the noise in the world that we’re living in now,” Bublé says. “So this is a real chance.”

Win or lose, Bublé tells EW, “I know what my legacy’s gonna be. It’s not gonna be my music, the songs I’ve written, the movies I’ve made. It’ll be how I make people feel.”

Bublé is enjoying his third and final (for now) season at The Voice, after two victorious seasons with winners Sofronio Vasquez and Adam David. In the spring, the series will adopt a new Battle of the Champions format with the return of Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend.
