Cowboys coach’s latest revelation about CeeDee Lamb stirs buzz across Dallas — what he said before the Jets game shocks fans.mh

The Dallas Cowboys are set to take on the New York Jets in an extremely important matchup on the road this weekend. After getting off to a 1-2-1 start to the season, Jerry Jones and company badly need a win.

Unfortunately, over the last couple of weeks, the Cowboys have run into some injury trouble.

CeeDee Lamb, the team’s superstar No. 1 wide receiver, was forced to miss last week’s Sunday Night Football showdown against the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury he suffered. Dallas was also forced to play without offensive lineman Tyler Booker in that game.

Ahead of this week’s game against the 0-4 Jets, the Cowboys have received a new update about the status of both Lamb and Booker.

As shared by Jon Machota of The Athletic, head coach Brian Schottenheimer has revealed that Dallas will likely have to play without both players once again against New York. However, it sounds like both players are closing in on a return to the field.

“They’re both moving around good,” Schottenheimer said. “I think the window is getting smaller.”

Getting Lamb and Booker back on the field will be extremely important as the Cowboys look to claw their way back into playoff contention. Both players are huge parts of the offensive game plan each and every week.

Despite not having Lamb on the field last week against the Packers, Dak Prescott put up a huge performance. Against a Green Bay defense that many thought was one of the best in the NFL, Prescott threw for 319 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, while completing 31 of his 40 pass attempts. He was also only sacked one time, which happened to be a late-game sack from Micah Parsons.

While it’s disappointing that neither player will be able to go against the Jets, this is good news for Dallas. It sure sounds like they could both have a chance to return in Week 6 on the road against the Carolina Panthers.

So far this season, Lamb has racked up 16 catches for 222 yards. He’ll be more than ready to get back on the field and dominate after the frustration of having to miss a couple of weeks.
