Jelly Roll wrapped up his first European tour and he couldn’t be more thankful about it. The “American Idol” season 23 artist-in-residence reflected on his experience touring Europe with Post Malone, who made the whole thing possible.
Jelly Roll Looks Back at His European Tour Experience
On September 23, Jelly Roll took to Instagram to reflect on his tour with Post Malone.
“Been a while since I sat down and thought my feelings out in a way to write them. With an hour left on this 10 hour flight from London to Nashville I’ve spent a good amount of time thinking about how much I can’t believe I just left my first European Tour,” Jelly Roll shared in the caption.
He continued, “First and foremost this was all Post Malone, I’ve said it every night on stage and I’ve meant it, but Post could’ve taken any artist in the world on this tour with him. He is legit one of the biggest artists in the world and has one of the most genuine hearts I’ve ever seen.”
The singer added, “Thank you brother, for picking me and allowing me to experience these things for the first time like playing stadiums all across America and now I can say I’ve toured stadiums all over Europe because of you.”
Jelly Roll went on to share some of the highlights of the experience, calling them “nothing short of amazing.”
“While in Europe I had the chance to play at Vatican City in St Peter’s Square for ‘Grace for the World’ concert,” the singer continued. “Not only did I get to perform, I got to praise, shamelessly, in front of the world. A night I will never forget.”
Jelly Roll had plenty of firsts in the mix, noting, “I experienced Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, England, and France all for the first time and most them I got to experience with my wife.”
He continued, “Speaking of France, Clash in Paris is another memory I’ll never forget. I told John Cena when he came and filmed ‘What Drives You’ in Nashville (avail on Roku and incredible show) I was going to come to as many matches on his retirement run as possible. I never would’ve guessed God’s plan would’ve had me wrestling on one of them at Summer Slam (wildest experience of my life) and another time would be me catching him in Paris.”
He called the crowd and the match “unforgettable.”
“Paris is everything they say it is — the hype is real,” Jelly Roll noted. “Big shout out to Cena and Logan for that one — honestly — classic if you ask me (I’m biased) — all in all thank y’all for the love and laughter. Thank you for the therapy, and thank y’all for taking the time to care and listen to me.”
Jelly Roll shared his next move — a well-deserved break. “Going to spend some much needed time with the family and unplug until I see y’all in Australia,” he wrote. This year’s recap is going to be madness go sub on YouTube. The Big Ass World Tour with Posty is officially over.”
