Last week the Examiner revealed to readers that Dolly Parton, 79, demanded that Rex Linn pop the question to her longtime friend and fellow country music queen Reba McEntire … and he listened!
“Dolly’s loyal to Reba, so when Dolly saw Rex stalling and ignoring Reba’s hints about getting married, Dolly got annoyed,” says an insider. “Dolly’s not afraid to tell it like it is.”
Reba also listens to Dolly, who no doubt will be adding her two cents when it comes to the wedding planning.
“It’d be beautiful if Reba asked Dolly to be her maid of honor,” says the insider. “It would be very emotional for Dolly, having just lost her husband [Carl Dean].
“Dolly believes in love, and it would warm her heart to be next to Reba on her big day.”
