Nina Dobrev is shutting down rumors that she and Zac Efron are dating after her breakup with Shaun White.
The “Vampire Diaries” alum was seen on video Wednesday, shaking her head “no” after being asked by TMZ if she and the “17 Again” star are an item.
She later gave a curt “yes” after the outlet asked if she and Efron are just friends.
Instead of focusing her attention on her love life, the actress, 36, told the outlet that she is looking forward to her “future.”
“I’m excited for the future and the only thing that’s guaranteed is change,” she said.
Dobrev and Efron, 37, became the subject of romantic speculation after they were seen getting cozy while yachting with a group of their famous friends in September.
One of the photos showed the “High School Musical” alum towering over Dobrev while she stared intently at her phone.
The duo was also seen laughing and appeared to be engaging in light flirtatious conversation together.
Other photos showed the stars hanging out with fellow A-listers Miles and Keleigh Teller and “Gossip Girl” alum Chace Crawford as they sailed around the coast of the Italian island Sardinia.
The sunset snaps were taken weeks after it was revealed on Sept. 11 that Dobrev had officially ended things with White after five years together and nearly one year of being engaged.
The news arrived amid speculation of relationship troubles between the two after the actress was spotted without her engagement ring during an appearance at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival earlier that month.
At the time, a source told People that Dobrev and the ex-Olympian, 39, reached a “mutual decision” to part ways, but it “wasn’t an easy one.”
Though, a source also told the Daily Mail that the split was due to their different priorities: White had his sights set on starting a family while the “Let’s Be Cops” star was looking to focus on her career.
