Seth Curry is joining the Golden State Warriors in a one-year deal. He will be playing alongside his brother Stephen Curry, which marks a first in their basketball careers. They will begin training on Wednesday, according to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania.

The Curry brothers have expressed wanting to both be on the roster for the Warriors in the past.

“I always have to do what’s best for myself,” Seth Curry told NBC Sports in July. “Obviously, Steph would love me to come over there and play with him. And the fans showed me a lot of love at all times. [Our] family would love it. I’ve obviously I’ve always embraced the Warriors and their system and love the way they play. And you never know what can happen.”
This will become reality on Wednesday during training. The Warriors are later set to open the season against the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 21.
Seth became a free agent at the end of last season, during which he played for the Charlotte Hornets. There, he averaged 6.5 points and 1.7 rebounds, according to Yahoo! Sports.

After attending Duke University, he went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft. He still signed a deal and played for both the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers during his rookie season. Seth eventually played for the Phoenix Suns, the Sacramento Kings, the Dallas Mavericks, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets before landing playing for Charlotte during the 2023-24 season.
On his end, Steph Curry has remained with the Warriors his entire career since being the No. 7 overall pick in 2009. He averaged 6.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists during the 2024-25 season, according to CBS Sports.
