Was Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Next Royal Tour with Their Kids Just Revealed
A prime minister’s meeting with King Charles included an invitation for the Prince and Princess of Wales
Are Kate Middleton and Prince William heading Down Under?
Over the weekend, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met with King Charles in Scotland, after which he spoke of the possibility of a royal tour.
Albanese told reporters, “I’m certainly hoping there will be one. There’s a standing invitation that the royal family are always welcome in Australia.”
“It was wonderful to welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla to Australia recently, who had a very successful visit, and His Majesty is very engaged,” he added, referring to the royal couple’s 2024 trip. “And I hope that the Prince and Princess of Wales are able to visit as well, and we are hopeful that might occur in the coming period.”

Despite the prime minister’s remarks, no upcoming tour has been announced for Prince William and Princess Kate, both 43.
The couple last visited Australia in 2014, memorably bringing Prince George, now 12, when he was just a baby. It’s possible that they would want to bring all three of their children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — along next time they head there.
During her St. Patrick’s Day visit to the Wellington Barracks in London, Kate expressed her hopes to take the kids abroad with her and William on upcoming trips.
“George finds it fascinating that he has been to Australia and New Zealand,” she said.

“I would like to go back there with them now,” she added, sharing a relatable reason for why they haven’t yet: “It’s finding time to do that.”
Princess Kate added, “But I love to travel – yes, it’s a long flight.”
Although Prince George and Princess Charlotte have joined their parents on royal tours as youngsters — including visits to Canada, Germany and Poland — Prince Louis has yet to make his tour debut.

Prince William and Princess Kate have not done a major joint overseas tour since their 2022 Caribbean visit with stops in Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas. Later that year, the couple traveled to Boston for the Eartshot Prize awards.
While William has traveled solo to South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and other foreign countries in recent years, Kate has kept overseas visits to a minimum amid her cancer treatment and recovery.
