When will the injuries stop?

Someone, please make sense of why the San Francisco 49ers seem to suffer more injuries than the 31 other teams (not hyperbole, as they were the most injured team in the NFL a year ago).
Already, not two complete weeks into the 2025 season, head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad is dealing with serious injuries, and Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints commenced with two big-name players, quarterback Brock Purdy and tight end George Kittle, missing their first action of the season.
Mac Jones got the nod in place of Purdy, who is week to week, but replacing Kittle was going to be a tougher challenge, especially with him landing on injured reserve.
A theory was the Niners would use their Swiss Army knife of a weapon, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who had been attending tight end meetings during training camp.
While San Francisco’s first touchdown in NOLA went to backup tight end Luke Farrell, Juszczyk was taking over some of those offensive duties in Kittle’s stead.
Until…
Kyle Juszczyk immediately ruled OUT of 49ers-Saints with injury
Multiple reporters in the game reported a 49ers player heading into the blue injury tent, followed by acknowledgement Juszczyk wasn’t on the field when his team was on offense.
Then, not long thereafter, NFL GSIS reported Juszczyk was immediately ruled out of the game.
No “questionable” designation, immediately out, which is clearly not good news for a banged-up Niners squad.
The injury, according to Fox Sports’ broadcast, is a concussion. And it’s clearly not a good bit of news for Shanahan and Co., considering the fullback’s versatility and role within the offense.
San Francisco is already playing with a shorthanded squad entering Week 2, highlighted by both the Purdy and Kittle injuries.
Adding Juszczyk to that list is the last bit of news Shanahan and the 49ers want to hear.
