DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – One country music star is teaming up with a rising local musician for a live concert event coming up this November in Dothan.
Clay Walker will be hitting the stage at the Dothan Civic Center on Saturday, November 8, and will be joined by Samson’s very own Crews Wright as a special guest.
Walker is a country music mainstay who got his start in 1993 with his hit single “What’s It to You,” and has provided other great classics like “Live Until I Die,” “Dreaming with My Eyes Open,” and “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.”
Wright is a 17-year-old up-and-coming Christian-country artist who has made a name for himself locally with his unique sound and style. In addition to being a winner of the Southern Lights Search for a Star contest at the age of 15 and winner of the Male Vocalist of the Year for the past five years in the North American Country Music Association International Competition, Wright is coming off a recent appearance on the singing competition series American Idol where he earned a “Golden Ticket” to Hollywood.
A special pre-sale event for tickets is live on Monday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tixr when you enter the code “DOTHAN.”
Tickets, available as low as $51 (plus fees), go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, September 30, at 10 a.m., and can be purchased at the Dothan Civic Center box office or online.
Doors at the Dothan Civic Center for the November 8 concert will open at 6 p.m., and show start time is set for 7 p.m.
