CMA Country Christmas aired on December 2, and if you didn’t watch, you missed out on incredible performances by Lady A, Little Big Town, Parker McCollum, and more. But the highlight of the night came from Riley Green and his nostalgic rendition of “Christmas to Me.” We recommend streaming the whole show on Hulu or Disney+, but if you only have time for one song, make it this one.
Riley brought is trademark Alabama sound to the original holiday tune, which he released last year. The lyrics will transport you to simple Christmas spent with loved ones, complete with a “five-star meal on a paper plate,” tangled lights, football games, and hugs and handshakes. As Riley sings, “For folks ‘round here, it don’t get much better than this.”

For the Nashville event, Riley took the stage for a simple, heartfelt performance accompanied by a fiddle and steel guitar. He donned a simple suit, his “Duckman” guitar strap, and a cowboy hat and was surrounded by Christmas trees and twinkling lights.

CMA shared a video of the performance on their official social media channels, and the comments poured in. One wrote, “Such a beautiful heartwarming song, seems a lot of families are the same 🔥♥️🎄.” Another commented, “Felt the holiday spirit with this one.” One said, “This song brought tears to my eyes,” and another commenter declared, “This was beautiful! Heartwarming! Loved it! 🙏❤️❤️”
