Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III gave a positive update after he left the stadium in an ambulance during his team’s 24-21 win over the Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on Sunday.
Austin suffered a shoulder injury and quickly left the field, after which he was taken to a local hospital for imaging. Croke Park, unlike most NFL stadiums, does not have in-stadium x-ray capacity.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said only that Austin had a shoulder injury and was being evaluated at the hospital. Austin gave a positive update via social media after the game.
“Great Dub in Dublin! I’m all good Steelers Nation, appreciate the messages and concern,” Austin said on X.
Austin had two catches for 13 yards before leaving the game with the injury. He also threw a key block on DK Metcalf’s 80-yard touchdown in the first half.
“CA really popped a couple of those for me,” Metcalf said. “Running on the back side of things, taking two or three defenders out of there, giving me space to really work.”

The Steelers were already thin at wide receiver before Austin was injured, and now will be even more so if he misses time. Roman Wilson, Ben Skowronek and Scotty Miller were the other three receivers dressed on Sunday.
